 Tunable Etalon Filter(TEF)

is manufactured to achieve optimal delivery of wavelength and has a relatively large rate of change of refractive index by voltage control.

It is composed of a liquid crystal of which molecular configuration is controlled to change the refractive index. The controllable difference of extraordinary and ordinary refractive indices make the optical path difference thus passing the chosen wavelength. This voltage-controlled Tunable Etalon Filter (ETF) gives fine tuning down to sub-nano meter level. â€‹

Our ultra-compact tunable optical filter is highly suitable for use in handheld spectrometers. The fact that it operates with a single parameter — voltage — makes it very convenient for spectrometer integration.​

 Gas Sensor Application 

With growing demands for low-carbon emissions and the on-site, real time detection and quantification of toxic gases, there is a strong need for gas sensors that determine the concentration of gases using the measure absorption of gases — including in the infrared spectrum. However, due to the high cost and bulkiness of laboratory-grade instruments, there is increasing demand for compact, low-cost optical gas sensors. Our filter is highly suitable for such applications. By using a wavelength-tunable filter, it enables simultaneous measurement of multiple absorption bands, minimizing interference from other gases and providing an effective solution for accurate gas quantification.
